Medical Care

Our practice provides a complete and thorough initial examination by a medical physician.  We take the time to listen to your history and your complaints.

We then provide a thorough problem-focused physical examination addressing all possible areas of involvement.  This allows us to determine appropriate diagnostic and treatment protocols for your specific condition.  Neurological testing (NCV/EMG) may be recommended and performed by our medical director, Dr. Edward Balbas who is double board certified in Pain Management and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.  Diagnostic Ultrasound and/or Digital X-rays may be recommended to determine if there is any soft tissue damage or joint problems.  We also provide trigger point and joint injections with plant based SARAPIN.

Trigger Point Injections

Get tremendous pain relief for muscular conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, muscle knots and chronic pain sufferers!

Trigger point injections consist of the injection of natural pain relievers and anti-inflammatories into muscular spasms, knots and adhesions in the neck, back or extremities.  The injection is a mixture of Lidocaine (numbing medicine) and Sarapin, an all natural anti-inflammatory that also promotes healing within the soft tissues. Trigger point injections involve the use of a very fine gauge needle (not much larger than an acupuncture needle) which is injected directly into the involved muscle, providing instant and long-lasting results.  We also use a surface numbing spray for a pain-free experience.   This procedure does NOT involve the injections of corticosteroids (such as Cortisone).  Studies have shown this to be an effective therapy in relieving chronic pain and inflammation.
